I still remember what day it was. I remember what time the phone alert came in. It was October 30, 2024 at 8:47pm. It was a Facebook message from my niece on my husband’s side of the family. Things have been pretty busy so when I saw her name pop up on the screen, I knew that it couldn’t be good news. But when I opened the message and saw that she asked me to call her immediately, I knew. I just knew. I knew that my husband, my best friend, the love of my life, was gone. I am a born again Christian born and raised in North Carolina who has tried to navigate this life with my feet straddling the fence of God’s way and the way of the world. I have been knocked down and kicked down, picked up and picked back up again. I have made mistakes, celebrated wins, experienced tragedies, each day strive to grow closer to God. Only, and I mean ONLY by the grace of God am I here to share my experience with you. This site is not meant to be about me. It is meant to incorporate a variety of topics that we as women (men, you’re welcome too!) face on a daily basis and to encourage other to keep moving forward and navigating life to live the abundant life that God has promised us. Oh, and also to continue to glorify God and speak truth of what His Word says. This blog will share real life journeys beginning with myself, and I hope to incorporate testimonies of others as things progress. I will have an update section a little towards the bottom that will announce new and exciting things coming up. My hope is for this to be a safe place for you to grab a cup of coffee, feel safe and meet new friends, and have someone to chat and pray with.
